Refund Policy

All three Retail Force apps are currently free. There are no subscription fees, no usage charges and no in-app purchases, so at present there is nothing to refund. This policy sets out what happens if that changes, and what to do if you are ever charged unexpectedly.

Retail Force is a DBA of SlashCart Inc. We do not sell physical goods — we publish software on the Shopify App Store. This policy replaces any returns or shipping terms previously shown on this page.

If you have been charged for any Retail Force app, contact us — that is not expected, and we will investigate and correct it.

2. How billing works if a paid plan is introduced

Should we introduce paid plans or usage-based charges in future, all charges are processed by Shopify through the Shopify Billing API. That means:

  • Charges appear on your regular Shopify invoice, alongside your other app and platform fees
  • We never see or store your payment card details
  • You approve any recurring charge in your Shopify admin before it starts
  • Charges recur on your Shopify billing cycle until you uninstall or downgrade

We will give notice before any charge begins to apply to an app you already have installed, and you will be able to uninstall before it takes effect.

3. When we will issue a refund

If you are charged for a Retail Force app, we will refund you in the following circumstances:

  • Duplicate or incorrect charge — you were billed twice, billed after uninstalling, or billed on the wrong plan. Refunded in full.
  • Charge you did not approve — a fee applied without the notice described in section 2. Refunded in full.
  • The app did not work — a defect prevented the app from performing its core function, we were unable to resolve it within a reasonable period after you reported it, and you uninstalled as a result. Refunded for the affected billing period.
  • Billed during an active free trial — refunded in full.
  • Within 14 days of a first paid charge — if you are dissatisfied with a newly introduced paid plan, we will refund that first charge on request, at our discretion.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method through Shopify. Processing time depends on Shopify and your bank, and is typically five to ten business days.

4. When we will not

  • Partial or unused portions of a billing period after the first 14 days, where the app worked as described
  • Charges arising because you forgot to uninstall before a renewal date
  • Periods during which you had access to the app but chose not to use it
  • Loss or damage caused by how you configured or used an app, including incorrect labels, mistaken order edits or payroll calculations
  • Interruptions caused by Shopify, your internet connection, or other third-party services outside our control
  • Accounts suspended or terminated for breach of our Terms of Service

5. How to request a refund

Email support@retailforce.io with:

  • Your myshopify store domain
  • The app name
  • The date and amount of the charge
  • A brief description of the problem

We acknowledge requests within one business day and aim to decide within five business days. If we decline, we will explain why.

6. Cancelling and uninstalling

You can uninstall any Retail Force app at any time from Shopify admin → Settings → Apps and sales channels. Uninstalling stops any future charges immediately.

Uninstalling does not automatically refund a charge already made for the current billing period. If you believe a charge should be refunded, contact us under section 5.

On uninstall, your store data is deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Export anything you want to keep — such as generated barcode or SKU data, or time-clock records — before you uninstall.

7. Free trials

If we offer a free trial, no charge is made during the trial period. Uninstall before the trial ends and you will not be billed. If you are billed during an active trial, that charge is refunded in full under section 3.

8. Shopify’s role

Because Shopify processes all app billing, some refund requests must be handled on Shopify’s side, and Shopify’s own policies and timelines apply. We will tell you if that is the case and help you raise it with Shopify Support.

9. Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank — it is almost always faster to resolve directly. We may suspend access to an app while a chargeback is open.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, particularly if we introduce paid plans. The “Last updated” date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect.
